Quiltworx, Butterfly Barnyard Baby Blanket, JNQ151P A Fractured Star Diamond MixerThe Butterfly Barnyard Baby Blanket was designed by Judel and Judy Niemeyer in 2014 to show the impacts of using non batik fabrics in paper piecing our designs. We used a reproduction line by Darlene Zimmerman for Robert Kaufman Fabrics called Penny & Friends and selected two contrasting prints for a simple, modern layout of just one Quiltworx border block. Mixing the softness of the 1930s, with an updated, classic border design of repeating spikes,
